Lejond Cavazos' father, CJ, has been hired by the XFL as the Director of College and Pro Relations. The league will be open for business in February of 2023.
The Football Fever caught up with the elder Cavazos at the Rose Bowl. As he gears up for his new gig, the elder Cavazos stresses the multitude of talent available beyond those who warrant NFL consideration.
"The super elite play in the NFL but the elite never get that chance and we're going to give them a chance to be super elite and watch them progress, hopefully to the NFL."
Lejond Cavazos is a redshirt freshman defensive back for the Buckeyes, who finished the season 11-2 with a 48-45 win over Utah in the 108th edition of the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
